ORGANISERS of the Burnham-on-Sea Beer and Music Festival said that without a doubt this year was the best event yet.

The popular festival took place at the Ritz Social Club, opening on Friday night and continued to take place through the weekend.

As well as beers there was a great selection of live music for people to enjoy.

Paul Hale, general manager at the Ritz, said: “It was without a doubt the best festival we’ve ever held.

“We had a record attendance and think that around 2,000 people came over the weekend.

“The festival is now in its sixth year so its well established.

“We had some well known musicians from around Somerset which I think helped draw people in.

“We had one musician called Ben Kempson, who for 16 was brilliant.

“He performed on the Saturday, he had everyone up dancing he was great.

“We’ve already booked one of the headline acts for next year, but I won’t say who just yet.”
