ITS never too late to find love as one Bridgwater nonagenarian shows, as she plans to get married at 95.

Margaret Husband will be marrying her new husband Bernard, a childhood friend, on Tuesday, May 30 in a ceremony in the Lake District.

And she says whether the marriage lasts one minute, one day or a number of years, it will be worth it.

Margaret was born in Birmingham on November 16, 1921 and in 1951 she married David Husband, and they had four boys - Mark, Bryan, Steve and Rob.

In 1964, the family moved to Bridgwater where David worked as a horticultural lecturer at Cannington College. He was also the County Beekeeper and a part time pastor for the West Somerset Mission To The Deaf. Margarent meanwhile worked at Croftlands House on Wembdon Rise.

Margaret was a well-known speaker at women's groups in the area and also signing for the deaf.

In 1989 David died and shortly afterwards Margaret moved to Spaxton where her son, Mark, still lives.

When David and Margaret were young their best friends were Bernard and Dorothy.

Over the years they remained in contact, but after David died, Margaret continued to visit her friends.

In 2011, Dorothy too passed away. Margaret and Bernard continued to phone one another until gradually their friendship became a romance.

Now aged 95 and 94, Margaret and Bernard are to be married on Tuesday, May 30. The wedding will be in the Lake District in a church near Bernard’s Care Home, where they will live together in the grounds of the same Care Home.

All their children are delighted and two of Margaret’s grandchildren will be bridesmaids, while her friend Eileen McDonald from Bridgwater will be her Matron of Honour. Songs of Praise will be filming the wedding, which promises to be a really exciting day.

Margaret has commented that whether their marriage lasts for one minute, one day or years, it will be worth it. She calls it 'My epilogue of grace'.
