Death of Sir Roger Moore - did you know of his Taunton connections?
JAMES Bond fans will be saddened by the death of actor Sir Roger Moore at the age of 89.
But did you know the famous actor, who also played The Saint in the TV series, visited Taunton on a number of occasions?
He often came to see his acting daughter, who lived in the town for a time.
Among the places he was spotted were taking in a play at The Brewhouse Theatre, enjoying dinner at The Sanctuary restaurant, now The Bank, in Middle Street, and shopping in Debenhams.
