DAVID Fothergill was yesterday confirmed as leader of Conservative-led Somerset County Council, with David Hall as his deputy.
William Wallace was elected chairman of the council and Peter Burridge-Clayton as vice-chairman.
The cabinet consists of David Hall, finance and economic development; David Huxtable, adult social care; Frances Nicholson, children and families; John Woodman, highways and transport; Anna Groskop, corporate and community services; Christine Lawrence, public health and well-being; David Fothergill, strategy and customers and communities.
Junior cabinet posts are Clare Aparicio Paul, finance and economic development; Gemma Veron, children and families; Faye Purbrick, corporate and community services; Giuseppe Fraschini, adult social care.
