IF YOU spot some funky looking neon hair in Wivliscombe - don't worry, it's just part of a fundraising event.

The town's branch of RGB Building Supplies is ‘turning up the volume’ today (May 26), with a special event to raise money for Children’s Hospice South West as part of Children’s Hospice Week.

Together for Short Lives, the organisation behind Children’s Hospice Week, is encouraging people to help #UpTheVolume on children’s palliative care.

To show their support, RGB staff will be ‘amping’ up their work clothes for the day by adding neon colours and funky hair.

Additionally, the branch will be holding a bake sale to boost the fundraising for Children’s Hospice South West, RGB’s chosen charity.

Ed Livesey, branch manager at RGB Wiveliscombe, said: “Children’s Hospice South West is such a fantastic charity and we’re delighted to be raising money for them.

"We’d like to invite our customers to join in the fun and ‘amp’ up their work wear for the day and, in advance, I’d like to thank everyone for their generous contributions to our fundraising.”

Children's Hospice Week takes place for a week every year.

It’s the UK's only awareness raising and fundraising week for children with life-limiting conditions and the services, like Children's Hospice South West, that support them.
