ST John Ambulance is looking for new volunteers to become first aiders in Bridgwater.

The charity’s area manager, Ollie Crandon said: "No one should die because they needed first aid and didn’t get it. We teach people first aid so they can be the difference between life and death, and you can help us do this.

"As a volunteer with the nation’s leading first aid charity, you will be trained to a high standard to provide first aid treatment to patients at events covered by St John Ambulance in the community."

Across Somerset, St John Ambulance volunteers support thousands of events each year, ranging from fêtes and village shows, to marathons and sporting events, as well agricultural shows such as the Royal Bath & West Show and the county’s carnivals.

The deadline for applications to become a first aider in Somerset is Sunday June 11, with selection day in Bridgwater on June 17. For more information please contact Ollie via email: ollie.crandon@sja.org.uk or phone 07837 095266.
