WHO doesn't love a free bit of cake?!
Customers at the Perkin Warbeck in Taunton will be treated to a slice or two, when the pub celebrates its 20th birthday.
The pub in East Street, will mark the special occasion on Monday, June 19, from opening time at 8am.
Staff members will be dressing up in 1990s themed fancy dress and the pub will be decked in balloons and banners. There will also be a collection on the day, for the children’s cancer charity CLIC Sargent.
Pub manager Luke Bakewell said: “The Perkin Warbeck has been a popular and busy pub since it first opened in 1997.
“We hope that our customers, regulars and visitors alike, will join in our special celebrations and we look forward to many, many more years being an important part of Taunton’s community.”
The Perkin Warbeck, which opened as a Wetherspoon pub on June 19, 1997, is named after the man who claimed to be the rightful heir to the throne of England and, 500 years before, in 1497, entered Taunton with an army of 8,000.
