HOMES in Sedgemoor is hosting a series of events next week across the district as part of its 10th anniversary celebrations.

All the events are free for Homes In Sedgemoor residents and a good way to keep the kids occupied at the start of the summer holidays.

On Monday, July 24 the first event is a family fun day at the Holy Trinity Church in Hamp Street, Bridgwater between 2.30pm and 4.30pm which will include face painting, YMCA activities and ice creams.

On Tuesday, July 25 there are a further three events, a coffee morning at Ashcott Church, from 10am til noon, a community lunch including fish and chips at La Ciotat House, Bridgwater and afternoon tea at Baymead Hall, North Petherton between 2pm and 4pm.

A coffee morning is being held in Cannington Village Hall on Wednesday, July 26 from10am until 11.30am

The Thursday activities include Family Fun at Woolavington Community Hall from 2.30pm until 4.30pm, including a photographic treasure hunt and crafts with Shane Jordan.

There will also be a Family Picnic at St Matthews Field from 3.30pm. Food provided, outdoor games and Smartie’s Sports.

Finally on Friday there will be an Afternoon Tea at Westonzoyland Church Hall between 3pm and 5pm

Lucy Chappell, community engagement and development manager said: “This is a very exciting week of events shaped around our customers and local communities.

"Colleagues and partners will be out and about in our neighbourhoods speaking to the people who live there about what is important to them.

"This is a real opportunity for customers to influence the service Homes in Sedgemoor provides, for their homes and their neighbourhoods, while having fun.”
