PREGNANCY can bring with it strange cravings for food which could vary from pickles and gherkins to banana ice cream or peanut butter.

But pregnancy for Intensive care unit nurse, Natasha Eveleigh, suddenly brought out not an irrational urge for odd food but awakened her artistic side.

Natasha who has been a nurse for 14 years and who works at Musgrove Hospital in Taunton, is now feeding her creative side by producing a variety of works of art.

She creates water colour prints, cards, wedding stationary, intricate abstracts, fun abstracts, pretty floral design and bold florals to list a few of her products.

Speaking about her art, Natasha said: "I love nature and enjoy colour palettes which bring and draw all this together.

Somerset County Gazette:

"What I am trying to do at the moment is to find my design place in the world.

"I did A level art at school but never gave it a thought after that.

"It was while I was pregnant with my first child (she now has two one boy two-and a half and girl six and a half months) this creative art desire just happened.

"I have been creating my art for three years now and I am loving it.

"I enjoy being creative as what I am doing is very individualistic and what I create I am doing for me.

Somerset County Gazette:

"It is not everyone's cup of tea but if anyone else likes it that is great.

"Art is very subjective and personal but have had lots of positive feedback."

Natasha is following what has become a 'family tradition' as her father, David Fielding is and artist as is her sister, George Peters.

All three were exhibiting and taking part on Taunton Live - The Performing & Creative Arts Festival July 24-30.

Somerset County Gazette:
