Where to get the UK's longest sausage roll in Taunton - for £1
IF you're feeling a bit peckish, how about a foot-long sausage?
From today (Monday) Morrisons in Taunton is selling the monster snack - weighing half a kilo and believed to be the longest in the UK - for £1.
They've been freshly baked in store and are made with seasoned pork meat, wrapped in flaky pastry and served on a special tray.
The sausage roll is being launched in time for the start of the football season to be the ultimate match day pie experience.
Graham Lacey, store manager at Morrisons Taunton, said: “We sell hundreds of freshly baked sausage rolls-a-week but customers have asked for one that is even bigger. So we created this foot-long version."
Time will tell if they sell like hot cakes...
