MUSIC beer and cider are set to be part of the perfect mix for BELLFEST 2017 which will kick off next weekend.

August 18, 19 and 20 sees the return of BELLFEST, a three day charity Music and Beer Festival at The Bell Inn, Watchet.

BELLFEST, now in it’s fifth year, originated as a single day of live music and has now evolved into a weekend extravaganza.

All proceeds will be split between Alzheimer’s Research UK and local charity Elliot’s Touch.

The Bell Inn have always been keen supporters of Alzheimer’s Research UK, having previously run quiz nights and skittles competitions for the cause.

The chef, Adam Taplin, has also run two marathons and raised thousands of pounds for the charity.

Two years ago The Bell Inn decided to split the proceeds with Watchet based charity Elliot’s Touch. Set up in 2015 in memory of Elliot Stevens, who tragically passed away at the age of 13 months, Elliot’s Touch aims to raise awareness for Childhood Cardiomyopathy and Mitochondrial Disease. They have currently raised over £70,000 to fund vital research.

There will be a great range of local ales from the likes of Exmoor Ales and Butcombe Brewery, plus more from further afield. Ranging from the dark porters, to the straw coloured summer ales, there should be something to suit all palates.

There will also be local traditional ciders from Thatcher’s, Sheppy’s and Rich’s for those who fancy something a little different.

A host of talented local musicians will be out in force, kindly volunteering their time to this worthy cause. There will be a wide variety of music ranging from rock and pop to acoustic and folk.
