DEPRESSING?: Castle Green in Taunton
WHAT a depressing and miserable place Castle Green in Taunton now is.
Seats (or are they upturned Saxon canoes?) poorly sited, so you have to put your feet on the muddy grass - grass that just isn’t cared for and is unkempt - boring slabs, dropouts tumbling out of the pub drunk out of their sculls and rat-infested rubbish just behind the castle gate.
Disgusting! God knows what the T20 visitors thought.
Who designed it and who authorised it? And what did it cost?
