A WOMAN injured in a serious car crash on Exmoor last night is being treated for a possible broken leg at Southmead Hospital in Bristol.

A man was taken to Musgrove Park Hopsital with facial injuries following the crash near Wheddon Cross on Exmoor last night (Tuesday, August 22).

A spokesman for the South West Ambulance Service Trust said: "We received a call at 7.45pm to reports of a two vehicle RTC.

"There were two casualties. One was a female with a possible fractured leg and there was a male casualty with injuries to his face.

"We attended with one rapid response vehilce and an ambulance, and the air ambulance was also in attendance.

"The female was flown to Southmead Hospital while the man was taken to Musgrove Park Hospital by road."
