Breeding Ewes (186): A reasonable entry of 186 breeding ewes sold to a steady trade when the best sold readily. Poll Dorset cross Charollais topped the sale, being shearlings to £128 from Mr SG Yates. Flock age Texels to £123 from Mr R Foster. 4T Texel cross ewes from Mr CJ Sage sold to £122. Suffolk Mules to £120 from Mr J White and Mr MG Adams. Overall average £97.98.

Couples (7 Ewes & 11 Lambs): A handful of couples forward sold to £130 (£65/life) for a Poll Dorset single from Mr DH Turner.

Stock Rams (34): Another solid entry of 34 stock rams sold well, when FM Charollais sold to £325 (x2) from Messrs T Frampton & Sons. Heading the shearlings were Messrs SJ & JB Clatworthy, who sold their Dutch Texel cross Beltex to £275 and £260. Other Charollais to £265 from Messrs S Bye & Son and £250 from Messrs NF Clothier & Sons Ltd.

Pigs (158): Greenslade Taylor Hunt report usual selection of pigs on offer met a large array of bidders staying the course from start to finish. Sadly only 50% were prior booked to go on our website ready for Friday evening – buyers from away do look so we encourage Vendors to prior book for mutual advantage!

Cull Sows & Boars (6): A much smaller entry compared to the last sale’s large entry. The best sold to £182 from Messrs WJ Acreman & Sons and £165 from Mrs H Tongue.

Weaners (53): Not enough to satisfy a huge crowd which topped at £43 from Mr PL Clark. Others £35 from Messrs DG & RH Matravers.
