Residents in some parts of Somerset have been warned of potential flooding this evening.
The county is forecast to be mainly dry with the threat of showers but the Environment Agency has issued ‘flood alerts’.
We have a NW-SE split as we head into the weekend. Rain or showers in the NW, drier towards the SE and becoming a little warmer in the S too pic.twitter.com/Xix3vXNi7G

A ‘flood alert’ is in place for Porlock Weir, on the West Somerset coast, and the River Avon at Pill and Shirehampton.
The Met Office said the ‘alert’ remained in place at 4pm today.
