A CHILDREN'S activity centre has hit back after claims it banned a seven-year-old boy with Tourette's for swearng.

AJ'z, in Frobisher Way, Taunton, denies any knowledge of the alleged incident after Danielle Hillier said her son Charlie Binding was ordered to leave and told not to return.

Ms Hillier, of Milverton, said she was outraged and that Charlie was gutted he was barred from the facility.

AJ'z said earlier this week that children or adults are asked to leave the premises if there is "any biting, fighting, foul language or sickness".

In a further reponse after the story, broken on this website, AJ'z said today: "As a response to the articles that have been published, I have checked back through our records and we have no banned members of the public.

"This alleged complaint allegedly occurred eight months ago.

"I have no record of such a complaint made at the time or any recollection or knowledge of this incident.

"We do not have disability days as we are inclusive of all children seven days a week from 9.30am to 6pm for children aged 0 to 11 years.

"We are a family run business and find these comments and articles slanderous and detrimental to our business.

"The COAT group is an outside organisation for autistic children and we are unable to determine who attends their meetings which we provide a facility for once a month."
