A NEW website featuring videos copied from cine film records of life in Taunton since 1920 has been set up.

Website owner and designer Michael Cull, a former Macebearer for Taunton Deane Council, decided to create the site after looking at some of the videos he had collected during his time working at the authority.

Mr Cull said: "It is sad to see such a wealth of local history being locked away in a cupboard. I felt it was time to make it all available to the people of Taunton as it is their heritage.

"It is a very time consuming process, but at least it keeps me out of mischief!"
