A NUMBER of staff at a Taunton hospital have been suspended and an investigation has been launched after serious allegations were made about a patient's care.
It is believed that Somerset Partnership received a complaint from a patient receiving care at Dene Barton Community Hospital's rehabilitation ward, Cotford St Luke, three weeks ago and a full investigation has been launched into the incident.
Somerset Partnership has not yet confirmed how many staff members have been suspended.
A spokesman for Somerset Partnership said: “We have received a complaint about the care of a patient on Dene Barton Community Hospital’s rehabilitation ward.
"While we investigate this complaint a number of members of staff at the hospital have been suspended.”
