Detectives investigating two 'frightening' sexual assaults against a 17-year-old girl on a train in Cornwall have released CCTV images of two men they want to talk to in connection with the attacks.

The incident happened on board the Great Western Railway service travelling between Newquay and Plymouth on Saturday 12 August at approximately 8.45pm to 9pm.

Devon and Cornwall Police originally appealed for information about the incident on August 21, 2017 and officers are now are releasing CCTV images of men they wish to speak with in connection to both assaults, as they may have information which could help the investigation.

Investigating officer DC Matt Grieve, said: “I would like to thank everybody who has provided us with information following our last appeal. However, I am still looking to identify those responsible for both assaults, therefore I am issuing this fresh appeal.

“If you know who the men are in the CCTV images then I would urge you to get in touch as soon as possible. I believe they may have vital information which will help me piece together exactly what happened.

“This was a frightening ordeal for this young girl and we continue to provide her with support.”
