TWO cricket mad teenagers from Falmouth are holding a special fun day to help them raise money to fund a tour of South Africa.
The two 17-year-olds, Emma Richardson and Bronwyn Casterton, play for Falmouth Cricket Club.
Emma has been playing cricket since she was five influenced by her dad David's love of the game.
"I love cricket," she said.
The event will take place at Falmouth Cricket Club on September 23 from 11am. It will include games, stalls, tombola, raffles and a barbecue.
The fire brigade, police and coastguard will also be in attendance.
Both girls have been selected for the Cornwall Girls' Under Seventeen teams tour to South Africa which runs from February 6, 2018 until Wednesday, February 21, 2018.
It is an official tour which has been fully endorsed and supported by the Cornwall School's Cricket Association and the Cornwall Cricket Board and will include matches in Johannesburg and Cape Town.
