TODAY'S forecast is mainly dry with some bright or sunny spells for much of the day. The odd light shower is possible, but most will stay dry. Temperatures should peak around 17C at 2pm.
However, locally heavy rain and gale force winds will arrive from the west later this afternoon.
Tonight this band of locally heavy rain will move eastwards accompanied by strong to gale force winds, especially over the coasts and hills. Clear spells and blustery showers following.
