AN 81-year-old woman was taken to hospital after becoming trapped in a car following a crash involving a tractor. 

The crash occurred at around 9.49pm last night (September 19) in Wrantage. 

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue crews were called to the scene following reports of a crash between a car and a tractor. 

On arrival they found the elderly woman to be trapped within the car. 

The woman was removed from the car using hydraulic cutting equipment and left in the care of the ambulance service who took her to Musgrove Park Hospital.
