MORE than 200 people have been fined for using Taunton's new bus gate.
Drivers of other vehicles face a £60 fine if they use the gate on Bridgwater Road that opened at the beginning of September.
So far 255 people should have received fines, and 2,763 warning letters have been sent.
The new traffic control was installed near to the new West Monkton Primary School.
Leader of Somerset County Council David Fothergill posted on his Twitter page about how many motorists had been fined.
After 2,763 warning letters over last few weeks the first batch (255) of Bathpool Busgate fines should arrive with offenders in the morning
