If you’re looking to go to a public fireworks display in Somerset, then you have plenty to choose from.

This weekend is a big one for Bridgwater, with its fair and fireworks extravaganza set to take place ahead of the annual carnival parade on Saturday.

There are several others in our area, too, which are set to be popular.

Bridgwater

Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Festival

The town’s famous carnival takes place this Saturday – with celebrations starting at 10.30am. Illuminated carts will fill the streets alongside street performers and marching bands. The squibbing fireworks event will be held in the High Street at 10.45pm. The town’s Grand Fireworks Display and Fairground will be held at St Matthews Field from 3pm to 9.30pm on Friday, November 3. The fireworks will start at 7.30pm.

Taunton

Somerset County Gazette:

Oake Manor Golf Club

Tickets to the event cost £5 on the door which includes entry to a disco. The event will be held between 5pm and 9pm

Taunton Racecourse

Hatch Charity Fireworks will hold the event at the racecourse from 6.30pm on Sunday, November 5, in association with Tone FM.

Wyvern Club

The club will be holding its fireworks display at 8pm on Friday, November 3 (Gates open at 6pm). Tickets cost £5 for adults and £3 for children.

Crewkerne

Somerset County Gazette:

North Perrott Cricket Club.

The club’s fireworks display will start at 6.30pm on Saturday, November 4.

Crewkerne Bonfire and Fireworks.

The event will be open from 6.30pm, behind the Stagecoach in Crewkerne, on Saturday, November 4.

Wiveliscombe

Somerset County Gazette:

Wiveliscombe Bonfire and Fireworks Night.

The event will open from 6pm at the Wiveliscombe War Memorial Recreation Ground on November 3, 2017.

Chard and Ilminster

Somerset County Gazette:

Tatworth Playing Fields Bonfire and Fireworks Display.

The event will be open from 6pm at Tatworth Playing Fields, Chard, on Saturday, November 4.

Chard Rugby Club.

The event will be held between 7.30pm and 9.30pm on Sunday, November 5

Archie Gooch Pavillion, Ilminster.

This year’s fireworks event will run from 4pm until 10pm at the pavilion on Canal Way, Ilminster

Wellington

Somerset County Gazette:

Wellington Rugby Football Club.

The event starts at 7pm (gates open at 6pm) at the Athletics Ground in Corams Lane. Tickets cost £5 and tickets cost £3 for under-16s.

Minehead

The holiday camp’s fireworks display starts at 6.30pm

Burnham and Highbridge

Fireworks will launch from a platform on the town’s jetty from 6.30pm on Sunday, November 5.
