A MAN has been arrested after a man died in suspicious circumstances in Taunton.
The 26-year-old arrested is from the Bridgwater area.
Officers, detectives and scientific investigators were on the scene in Upper High Street and taped off the area after a body was discovered at around 1.30pm on Monday.
An investigation has been launched following the death which has been described as 'suspicious' by police.
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said: "A 26-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of a man in Taunton.
"On Monday (November 20), we launched an investigation after the body of a 40-year-old man was found at a property in Upper High Street, Taunton. His death is being treated as suspicious.
"The 26-year-old, who is from the Bridgwater area, is currently in custody and enquiries are ongoing."
