DONATIONS to Somerset Unit for Radiotherapy Equipment last week included £348.57 from Collette Secker and Sarah Miller from a Christmas craft stall at the Beacon Centre cancer unit at Taunton's Musgrove Park Hospital, and from the sale of Sarah's Christmas crafts.
Also raised for the County Gazette-backed SURE charity, which equips the Beacon Centre, was £155 from the Flintlock ladies' dinner organised by Mollie Bickley, of Marsh, who also gave £100.
There was £10 in old £1 coins from Mark Ormerod and 5p collections totalled £4.50 from Knighton Berry; and £30 from Ben Scotting, of Ilminster.
More than half of the £98.25 from Blagdon Retirement Village was in 5ps, while £109.10 of the £164.90 from the Beacon Centre was in 5ps.
Collection pots were £11.45 at Trull Stores; £31.26 from the One Stop Shop, Galmington; £19.56 from the Fish and Chip Shop, Norton Fitzwarren; and £109.02 from Tesco Express, in East Reach.
Quantock Vale Surgery, in Bishops Lydeard, raised £165 from Christmas decorations made by the nurses and sold to patients and staff.
Silvia Woodgate, of Milverton, left £100 at the Beacon Centre.
The week's total of £1,347.51 means £741,185.03 has been raised since SURE linked up with the County Gazette.
