PARENTS are being offered the opportunity to find out how to keep children safe on the internet.

He internet safety evening is being organised by Danesfield Middle School, Williton, in conjunction with South West Grid for Learning, and Avon and Somerset Constabulary.

Helen Hatfield, of the school, said: "Many of us enjoy access to the internet from our homes and make good use of the exciting opportunities opened up by such technology. "Regrettably, this new form of communication is not always put to such positive use."

The evening will take place at the school on September 13 starting at 7.30pm.

Ring the school on 01984 632581 to book a place.
