A TAUNTON runner is on track to raise £2,000 for £2,000 for St John Ambulance after spending a day packing people’s shopping at Sainsbury’s.

Sam Adams, 29, was supported by his girlfriend Becky Hoyle and friend Wayne Brooks at the event in the town centre store, which raised more than £125.

He said: "St John Ambulance is a very worthy cause – they help out at loads of events that I attend, being in Taunton Running Club – so I just want to give something back."

His fundraising total for the first aid charity stands at over £1,700 with three months to go before he runs the Virgin Money London Marathon - you can sponsor him by cllicking here.
