BRIT award winners the Kaiser Chiefs are coming to Taunton.

The band, famous for hits including Ruby, I Predict A Riot and Modern Way, will be performing at Vivary Park on Sunday, July 15, as part of the Live in Somerset shows.

The indie rockers, led by lead singer and former The Voice judge Rickie Wilson, first burst onto the world stage following the release of their debut album in 2005.

And Rickie said the band was looking forward to coming to Somerset.

“We’re very excited to be playing in the heart of Taunton this summer.

"We’ll put on a great show and will pick out some of our smash hits, so come and join us.

"It will be a great night.”

Their sixth album, Stay Together, was released in 2016 and reached number four in the UK album chart.

Rickie is joined in the band by guitarist Andrew “Whitey” White, bassist Simon Rix, keyboardist and occasional drummer Nick “Peanut” Baines and since 2013, drummer Vijay Mistry.
