LOVE will be in the air on Valentine's Day next Wednesday - and six members of staff at Asda will be showing customers how it's done.

That's because the store boasts three loved up couples who hooked up at work and work alongside each other every day.

Cupid's arrow first struck in the supermarket around five years ago when night shift workers Garry and Deborah Lovell - as they now are - fell for each other.

They walked down the aisle three years ago and four colleagues appear to have caught the love bug too.

Deborah said: "Garry and I were initially friends and then our relationship developed as he managed to charm me while working late night shifts together."

Garry said: "Our jobs brought us together and now we have a little one too - I feel like our little Asda family is complete."

Sarah Kennedy and Dan Cox teamed up three years ago and are planning to tie the know in July.

Sarah said: "We joked about having the wedding in store as it's where we met and where we spend every day. It's like a second home."

Dan said: "We can't wait for our wedding - thanks to Asda for bringing us together."

Alana Stevens and Simon Johnson are the third Asda item after meeting six years ago working as section leaders on the services and home departments.

Simon said: "When I started working at Asda Taunton, little did I know I was going to end up meeting the love of my life."

Alana said: "The past four years working with Simon have been great, and we’ve since moved in together."

Store manager Mike Jarrett said: "It’s amazing how many romances have blossomed in our store over the years. It seems that love is well and truly in the air here – or should I say, love is well and truly in the aisles."
