A VICAR is organising a vigil in memory of murder victim Heather Jordan.

The Rev Debbi Turley, vicar of St Peter's Church, situated alongside Lyngford Park, Taunton, where Miss Jordan's body was found, wants people to "remember a life lost".

People are being asked to meet outside the Co-op, in Priorswood Place, where Miss Jordan worked as a cleaner, at 5.45pm on Sunday (February 25).

The Rev Turley and supporters will hand out candles before walking across to the park, where the candles will be lit.

It is planned to meet up at the shelter or nearby before pausing for a time of contemplation.

She said in a Facebook post: "All are welcome and if you would like to bring flowers to lay then please feel free.

"We won't be there for a long time, but I think it's important that we do something like this to honour one of our own."
