A PROGRAMME of spring events at Hestercombe has been drawn up.

The Bampfylde Lecture features Roy Bolton talking on Halswell Park: Restoring a Masterpiece examines the history of the estate and its relationship with Hestercombe in the 18th Century on Friday, March 2.

A family-friendly Easter trail around the gardens with a chocolate prize has been organised between Saturday, March 24, and Sunday, April 8.

There are also a number of Easter craft workshops such as making a pop-up card and a stamp in the Woodland Barn.

Mill days will show off the restored 17th Century watermill with the turning wheel and turbine making flour on Wednesdays March 28 and April 4.

And there is a willow weaving workshop on Monday, April 16, when expert Sarah Webb will help you create a conical plant climber.
