SCHOOLS in Taunton are starting to confirm that they will be closed a head of bad weather that is set to hit Somerset.
A Met Office 'amber warning' has been set for the South West, set to last from noon on Thursday until 8am on Friday.
A yellow warning for wind, ice and snow is set to last until Saturday morning.
Crowcombe and Stogumber Primary School has posted on its website that it will be closed on Thursday and Friday due to the 'Beast from the East'.
Sky College has also announced that it will be shut Thursday and Friday due to the weather warnings.
Elsewhere in the county, Neroche Primary School has decided to close tomorrow due to problems with phone lines and water supply.
