DAMAGE: The fence, in Wellington High Street, after the crash
A RED-faced lorry driver had to explain this mangled fence.
Police in Wellington say the driver hit the fence in the town's High Street, near the crossing.
@ASPWellyWivy tweeted the photo of the wrecked fence to their 1,060 followers.
As well as the twisted metal, the incident resulted in a lump of concrete being uprooted from the ground.
