FLOOD warnings remain in place across Somerset after yesterday’s heavy rain.
People living near the River Tone Catchment were told to ‘be prepared’ as water levels swelled.
While much of the rain has passed, water levels remain high.
Flooding in Bradford on Tone
The Environment Agency said: “With the upper Tone catchment already saturated this next spell of rainfall will cause all streams to react. This flood alert is being issued from the Bradford on Tone gauge on the River Tone where peak levels were forecast at around 3am today."
- A flood warning is currently in place for the River Tone from Bathpool to Ham including Ruishton and Creech St Michael, riverside properties
- A Flood alert is in force now for River Tone Catchment
- A Flood warning is in force now for Washford River, riverside properties from Kingsbridge to Lower Roadwater
- A Flood alert is in force now for Exmoor Rivers
