Local charity Somerset Sight ran its first wine tasting evening for more than 40 people at Majestic Wine in Taunton.
More than £400 was raised for its services and activities.
On Thursday 19th April, guests had a chance to try wine from various regions, take part in blindfolded challenges and were able to experience what it may be like to be visually impaired.
The charity also launched its brick appeal to raise money to improve the charity’s premises on Staplegrove Road.
Holly Sutton, Fundraising and Development Officer said, “it was a fantastic evening, we are absolutely thrilled that so many new people came. Fundraising is vitally important to us. All money raised goes directly to helping visually impaired people and their families in Somerset.”
The team at Somerset Sight are planning more events including an evening of Music and Magic in August. If you are interested in attending future events, or contributing to the brick appeal, please contact Holly on 01823 366147 or email her, holly.sutton@somersetsight.org.uk.
