HUNDREDS of people enjoyed the annual Milverton Street in glorious sunshine on Monday.

Visitors milled around the narrow streets to check out the more than 100 stalls ranging from arts and crafts, paintings and wooden toys to furniture and woodturning, antiques and collectables and bespoke bicycles.

There were also be traditional cream teas, a variety of hot foods and drinks from local ale to foreign juicy smoothies.

Visitors were entertained by crazy street acts and live music, Punch and Judy shows, face-painting, morris dancers, stilt walkers and more.

Milverton Archives staged a heritage exhibition in the church during the fair on The Lost Pubs of Milverton, with old photos and documents and a cafe was operated in the Reading Room of the Victoria Rooms.

Milverton Street Fair, which raises money for local groups, societies and charities, is devised, promoted and organised by The Milverton Trust and is made possible through a dedicated team of volunteers.

Among the highlights was the fancy hat competition, with pupils from the village primary school showing off their handiwork skills.
