OWNERS of a property badly damaged during a crash are pleading for drivers to slow down.
Police were called to Staplegrove Road, Taunton, at around 7pm last night (June 6).
The crash occurred on a bend in the road, outside of Weir Lodge, a Grade II listed property. The majority of the property is under the Listed protection, including the stone pillars at the gateway.

Owners of the house, Caroline Ellis and Gideon Amos, said they were 'horrified' by the loud crash.
Caroline said: "I was making dinner and heard a horrific noise. It's happened before so it's always horrible when you hear it.
"It's a bit of a regular occurrence now.
"It begs the question, why are people still driving so fast down this road? Lots of pedestrians use the area, it's scary to think what could have happened.
"It's meant to be a 30, but I don't know what the answer is to slow people down."
Staplegrove Road has a 30mph limit with a recommended speed of 20 on the bend. It is along the same road as North Town Primary School and close to French Weir Park and the health centre.
Although no one was injured in the crash, one victim was an eagle that sits on the pillar of the gate.

The eagles have been knocked before, but Caroline is confident the bird will rise again.
"Luckily no one was injured," she said. "I know people are in shock after things like this but they don't even say sorry, but you've just damaged my property.
"It's not just our home, the Home Education group in Somerset use the grounds and lots of Liberal Democrat events are held here."
Police were called as the rubble was obstructing the road.
A spokesman said: "We were called to a single car crash on Staplegrove Road at around 7.23pm last night.
"There was some damage to a wall and a pillar. We were called due to an obstruction in the road.
"No one was injured."
