A SHOP premises that has been closed since before Christmas is to re-open as a gallery.
A sale of the remaining stock, fixtures and fittings at the former Plasterworks and Artichoke, in Silver Street, Taunton, is taking place on Saturday (June 23) from 11am to 7pm.
The shop has not opened since owner Joyce Birch died and her co-owner, husband Daniel, suffered health problems.
Mr Birch's brother, Tim, is flying over from Valencia, in Spain, to see him and to open the shop for the last time.
He said a previous sale was "very successful", adding: "People were very kind and often paid more than we asked for things to help my brother Daniel.
"It was very apparent that he and his wife were very highly regarded in Taunton."
