YEAR 8 students at Heathfield Community School raised more than £7500 for Cancer Research and Musgrove’s Special Care Baby Unit during their Year 8 Epraise day.
Students in Year 7 and 8 ran one mile or two miles in the Race for Life on the day and Year 8 students organised cake sales, sold ice creams, did face painting and wore non-uniform to raise as much money as possible.
Helena Nicholls, head of Year 8 at Heathfield, said: “The Year 8 students were incredibly hard working and dedicated to these two charities.
“In total £7785.38 was raised. An outstanding achievement. ”
