SO, Molly Scott Cato MEP wants a People’s Vote on the final (Brexit) deal (‘People’s vote’, Postbag, July 12).

Am I missing something here, did we not have a vote two years ago and did we not vote to leave? Oh hang on, it was a close vote, so we need to have another vote until we get the right result so the likes of MSC can get the results that she and her insignificant party, who will never form a Government, want.

Would she be saying the same if her party had won a by-election by a narrow majority? I think not.

A recent poll by the British Social Attitudes showed that 36 per cent of interviewees wanted to leave the EU, up from 22 per cent in 2015. The proportion who wanted no change fell to 19 per cent, down from 27 per cent.

The survey involved interviews with nearly 4,000 adults and was funded by Whitehall departments, charities and other groups and was carried out by the National Centre for Social Research.

It said voters were proving relatively resistant to attempts to change their minds about what the consequences of leaving the EU would be.
Molly Scott Cato, claims a petition of over 200,000 people - maybe that’s her party members and her friends, the Green Party’s manifesto after all is for another referendum.

Or maybe she wants to protect her gold-plated EU pension with no regards to the democratic vote of the country and the will of the people.

After two years, when will the “remoaners” accept we voted to leave?
