COMEDY star Jason Manford has made a plea to fans in Taunton to help sell out his shows in the town next month.
The former 8 Out of 10 Cats team captain is set to perform at Wellsprings Leisure Centre on August 3 and 4.
And despite selling out a raft of venues on his current Muddle Class run, the stand-up made a Facebook bid to see the same in Taunton.
He wrote: "I’ve sold out every gig for the rest of the summer other than Plymouth and Taunton.
"Now, Plymouth I’ve sold out before on this tour, so I’m guessing everyone there has seen me. But Taunton.
"It’s a Friday and Saturday night and the venue only holds just under 1,000! Currently we have 701 seats left to sell and the gig is in 11 days."
He said the shows had around 700 tickets left to sell, at £27.50 each and are available via seetickets.com.
"Not to blackmail you or anything but I fought to put a smaller venue like this on a weekend because the promoter said ‘ah Taunton, that never sells out’," he added.
"So don’t lose out, support your local venue and me and my comedy buddies will keep turning up.
"Otherwise, ya gotta keep bl@*dy traveling to see us.
"Don’t make me beg (even though I’m already begging!)."
