FIRE Crews were alerted to a road traffic collision in Lisieux Way after a firefighter heard the incident occuring today (Sunday).
Crews ran out of the station to assist a young woman knocked off her bicycle by a car, whilst on a zebra crossing.
A 25 year old female had sustained head injuries after hitting her head on the ground. Crews administered first aid, TLC and carried out traffic duties until the arrival of the Paramedics and Police.
This incident is now complete and was brought under control at 12.53. The female casualty has been conveyed to hospital and the incident left in the hands of the Police, who were questioning the driver of the vehicle involved.
