LIZZIE PINCOCK - 'Celebrate her life'

6:39pm Wednesday 16th April 2008

FRIENDS of Lizzie Pincock at Taunton School say they were lucky to have known her and will never forget her infectious smile, giggly laugh and zest for life.

On Monday, Amy Bray, 19 and Kate Taylor, 18, told the County Gazette how much 19-year-old, Lizzie meant to them - and the whole of the school.

Amy said: "She contributed to school life so much. For a girl of 19 she's achieved so much.

"It almost doesn't seem real, it's hard to put into words exactly what she meant to us, words don't do her justice.

"I feel really lucky to have known her."

Kate added: "She was a head of house, she was a prefect she was a captain of the school sports team - she was involved in everything at school."

The pair said they were struggling to come to terms with her loss.

Kate said: "The Pincock family say keep smiling, Lizzie wouldn't won't us to mope she would want us to have a cup of tea and celebrate her life."

Kate and Amy said Lizzie was immensely passionate about her Inca and Amazon trip.

Amy said: "She was so excited about the gap year, everything she did was towards that goal.

"Even in the last three weeks she was climbing a mountain on her trip and she was only one of five to get to the top, that's just Lizzie all over."

The friends had been in touch with the Lizzie throughout her trip on Facebook and they had been receiving regular updates.

Kate added: "The last time I heard from her she said she was having the most amazing time, she had done salsa, the nightclubs were good, she loved the shopping and she had completed her Spanish course. She was having the best time!"
