TWO students from Taunton were highly commended at the South West Skills Awards 2008 presented by TV's Ben Fogle.
The event in Exeter, run by the Learning and Skills Council South West, celebrates the exceptional learning achievements of individuals and organisations across the region.
Natalie Lochrie was highly commended in the Learning Against the Odds category thanks to her commitment to learning at Bridgwater College.
And a similar accolade in the Inspiring Others to Learn section went to head chef Lee Millard for introducing innovative training methods to his kitchen team at the Taunton Holiday Inn.
Malcolm Gillespie, Regional Director, LSC South West said: "The awards enabled the LSC to showcase the outstanding contribution that individuals and businesses are making to raise skill levels and improve productivity and competitiveness throughout the region."
