New support group

A NEW support group is being set up across Somerset to help women suffering with endometriosis The incurable condition affects up to two-million women in the UK.

The group aims to help women to stay well, survive the symptoms and lead as normal a life as possible.

Endometriosis can affect many parts of the body not just the gynaecological organs, although period pain is a common symptom along with irregular periods.

Meetings will be held throughout Somerset including West Somerset and Exmoor.

The first will be held at The Boardroom, The Old Building, Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton from 7-8.30pm on Wednesday May 28.

Acupuncturist Sarah Hitchens from Taunton Community Acupuncture Centre is the first guest speaker.
