THE Bishop of Bath and Wells has been touring the Taunton and Wellington area recently.
Among the Rt Rev Peter Price's visits, he popped into Blagdon Hill Primary School, where he met children and staff.
He praised the school, which is one of five under threat of closure.
Somerset County Council is looking at the future of Blagdon Hill and other small schools in Binegar, Hemington, Kingsdon and Winsham.
As reported in last week's County Gazette, parents, governors and supporters overwhelmingly called on the county to keep Blagdon Hill open at a meeting last week.
