PRINCESS Anne is in Taunton next Monday, when she will visit St John Ambulance's divisional HQ in Canon Street.
The Princess Royal, who is the organisation's commandant in chief, ambulance and nursing cadets, will meet some of the many carers who have attended the St John carer support programme.
St John county executive officer Ross Young said: "All counties have the opportunity to put forward a case for her to visit them during the year.
"We thought it was fitting that she should meet some of our carers because. Through her own charity, the Princess Royal Trust for Carers, she is already involved in giving help and support to this worthy group of people.
"We know that our carers will be absolutely thrilled to meet her.
"It is just reward for the thankless tasks they selflessly perform looking after elderly/infirm relatives, neighbours and friends."
The Princess will also meet five to ten-year-old St John members from across Somerset, who are in the Badgers, which is 21 years old this year.
