LITTLE masterminds from the Exmoor Coast Federation took some time in the famous black chair last week for a quiz on the books and life of Roald Dahl.
Children from Dunster First School, Minehead Middle School, St Michael's First School in Minehead and St Dubricius First School in Porlock, took part in the Mastermind style quiz They were given one of Roald Dahl's books to read and familiarise themselves with two weeks before the quiz and were given two minutes of intense questioning on the day.
The winner of the competition was St Dubricius pupil Megan Cox who was awarded an Exmoor Coast Federation version of the Mastermind trophy.
Event organiser and Porlock teacher John Paterson said: "All of the children who took part impressed with their knowledge, self-assuredness and their courage.
"We tried to replicate the conditions faced by competitors in the real Mastermind.
"Many were heard to breathe a loud sigh of relief when they rose from the chair. Even so, many said they had really enjoyed the experience, but were glad once it was over."
