PROPERTY prices in Bromley are more than £60,000 above the national average and have risen by £16,547 in the last year, a survey shows.
The average price of residential property sales between April and June this year was £177,288, according to National Land Registry figures. The average for England and Wales was £117,398.
But Bromley prices remain below the Greater London average, currently £205,831.
National Association of Estate Agents spokesman Miles Cavey said the rise was as he expected. “London has definitely hit Bromley now, and it's not seen as part of Kent any more. Prices here are higher because transport is good.”
